Green Finance Awards for institutions

The MNB's Green Finance Award recognises financial institutions that have led the way in this area. Since 2021, the MNB has awarded the prizes in three categories each year. The categories are: Green Bank Award, Green Insurance and Pension Fund Award, Green Investment Fund Manager Award. The MNB uses an indicator framework to decide on the awards, with the institutions' regular data reports as input. In assessing the Green Bank Award, the MNB takes into account the extent of green lending, the green bond portfolio held by institutions and the institutions' exposure to climate change risks. For the Green Insurance and Pension Fund Award and the Green Investment Fund Manager Award, the level of assets managed in ESG funds is the primary factor taken into account when deciding on the awards.
