To encourage the promotion of environmental sustainability, the MNB established the Green Finance Scientific Awards in 2021
and the Green Finance Research Initiative. The central bank aims to show its appreciation for Hungarian and non-Hungarian
professionals who have achieved outstanding green finance research.
